Every Green Space Tells a Story
Where we began — Three Rivers — is 76% green belt: the countryside wrapping the villages of southern Hertfordshire. Those fields aren't just empty plots — they're habitats, carbon sinks fighting climate change, and the places where communities gather, play and breathe. But a hyperscale data centre has already been approved on green belt at Abbots Langley, 192 homes on its edge at Woodside Road, and the draft Local Plan would put thousands more green-belt homes under the diggers.
Save Our Fields was founded by a group of concerned citizens with their last remaining local fields under threat of development. We're building the walk field by field — and every time someone sends us a meadow they love, Rusty gives it a proper look.

The fields behind Abbots Road are one of the very last natural spaces in Abbots Langley — and the pressure is real: a hyperscale data centre has been approved on the neighbouring green belt, and 192 homes on its edge at Woodside Road. The app's live in early access, and the full launch is coming — soon, very soon. Rusty's been out collecting data with the field unit, one footstep at a time.
Up to 280 homes (revised to 256) are planned on the Bushey green-belt field at Harts Farm, east of Little Bushey Lane. Councillors refused it; the developer is appealing.
